Shared-surface conflicts resolve as unions: the fixture serves all five
projection keys (title/todos/permissions/plan/goal) with the /permission
and /plan command mirrors side by side, the connection specs assert the
five-key baseline and the shifted approval/question replay indices, and
the cli roster/deps, tsconfig aggregate, and README allowlist carry both
lines' rows. Plan-side content lands verbatim from master.
One end-state consolidation both branches half-did: with questions
(ui-question) and approvals (ApprovalPanel) each owning a composer
takeover, PendingCard retires outright — ChatView renders no pending
placeholder, the card component and its specs go, and both README halves
state the takeover-only contract.
gen-cordis-catalog/api, config/persistence catalogs, module graph, and doc
graphs pick up the ui-permission package, the permissions projection key,
and the /permission command; KnobState and PermissionSelect join the
type-link exemptions (owned by the permission package's own docs), and
ui-permission joins the sentence Model Experience allowlist (indirect via
the host command). The ui-conversation and dsh-permission READMEs gain
their zh halves for the approval/chip and projection/command paragraphs;
all three touched pairs re-record.
Plan mode is entered through /plan only — the select control is retired.
The conversation.input.plan seat (now right of the access-mode control)
renders a read-only Plan chip while the projection's effective target is
plan mode; its hover x executes /plan off, and the chip follows the folded
target (appears on /plan immediately, disappears on /plan off) with frames
correcting either way. While plan mode is targeted the composer textarea's
placeholder switches to the plan-task wording — InputBar reads the same
projection through the standard-kit useProjection (the TodoDock posture:
a type-only key merge, no domain service edge), and owner placeholders
still win.
39 conflicts resolved per the reattachment plan (missions worktree-projbiz
0728-1859): baseline wins for deleted packages (host/runtime, old ui/acp,
ui-sidebar Rows/tree) and retired specs; unions for wire-layer exports and
client summary fields; the approval takeover, waitingApprovals tracking, and
PendingApproval domain face carry over onto the master structure. The two
new host specs follow the runtime->apiproxy rename. Dead PR-side wiring
(ConversationInjected permissions/setPermission spread, InputBar controls
prop, boot.ts sandbox composition) resolves to master and its replacement
lands in follow-up commits.
Sweep the silently auto-merged leftovers of the superseded #587 wire layer:
the PlanModeState interface and planMode/setPlanMode entries in the sessions
API and rpc map, the fixture plan RPC spec, the composer.controls README
paragraph and spec assertions, the old-format plan-mode snapshot, and the
two Agent Notes written against the RPC design (to be rewritten for the
projection reattachment). ChatView/PendingCard keep the approval-only
pending rendering; QuestionComposer improvements ride along unchanged.
Resolution follows the reattachment plan: the #587 wire layer (planMode/
setPlanMode RPC, prompt.planMode, client Session projection fences) is
dropped in favor of the session-projection base now on master; master
structure wins in all shared files. Kept from the PR side: the approval-only
pending filter in ChatView (questions render solely through the composer
takeover) and the auto-merged QuestionComposer improvements. The deleted
host/runtime package and retired test carriers are removed with master.
The terminal card showed no run state: a running command and a settled
command that produced no output rendered the same prompt line, so whether
a command was still running had to be inferred from the absence of output.
Lead the prompt line with a StateDot in three of its states — the spinning
ring while running, red for the same exit status that renders the status
pill, green for a clean settle. That is the same indicator a tool row's
leading icon carries, so a row and its own card cannot disagree about one
command; the row/card agreement is pinned in the ui-conversation spec.
StateDot is aria-hidden, so a visually hidden text label rides beside it,
which is what the refreshed aria goldens now record.
The e2e adds what jsdom cannot compute: the dot's color resolves to the
green success token through the real theme stylesheet, and the dot precedes
the prompt label in document order.
The bash tool already declares the `card: 'terminal'` render intent for
both its call and its result, and host/connection/runtime already deliver
it to the browser as callView/resultView. The Web client ignored it:
rows derived from raw args, and the details panel flattened every tool's
content into one soft-wrapping `<pre>`. Column-aligned output folded into
a paragraph and a long listing stretched the panel without bound.
`TerminalBlock` (ui-primitives) renders a command as a terminal surface:
a shortened-cwd prompt line, output at `white-space: pre` in a
horizontally scrolling box, a head/tail height cap with an expand
control, an exit-code/signal status pill, and a copy control for the raw
output. ANSI SGR runs are parsed with `anser` and resolved onto `--dsw-*`
theme tokens, with literal rgb kept for values the design system has no
token for. Geometry and fonts mirror CodeBlock; the clipboard write both
need moved into a package-internal `clipboard.ts`.
Both Web render sites for a bash call consume the intent through one
derivation (`terminal-card-model.ts`), so they cannot disagree about a
command, its cwd, or its exit status: the keyed BashRow carries the card
resident below its summary row, and the render-site fallback row keeps it
behind its existing expand control. Rows cap at 8 lines against the
panel's 16.
Inline output in the chat row reverses this package's stated
no-inline-output convention, on the owner's explicit decision; the Agent
Note records the reversal and its bound.
Tests: TerminalBlock/ansi/clipboard unit specs, ui-conversation wiring
specs at every render site, a built-client-graph snapshot covering both
chat-row shapes, and a real-browser e2e asserting the no-wrap layout and
the page's own Clipboard API.
The todo row and the todo plan strip were registered without a contract in this
package's README, which still described only the bash sample. Both sides now
carry the two registrations: TodoRow's `todo_write` toolview key with its
attempted-write summary and non-ok dot semantics, and TodoDock's
`conversation.input.dock` entry at `order: -1` with the dock-owned selection,
empty-hidden panel, collapse behavior, and the composer-takeover consequence
that hides the whole dock. README.i18n.yaml re-recorded.
ds-review-bot findings: the browser e2e's error-state check now requires
at least one error sub-row (was >= 0); the runtime README documents the
codeDispatches snapshot contract and the ui-conversation README the code
variant + nested sub-row semantics.
The web host now composes the sandboxed product path (sandbox-local +
sandbox-policy behind bash-sandbox/fs-sandbox, with user-approval and
permission on top); BootHostOptions.sandbox carries the deployment
defaults (workspace-write + ask).
createApiProxy owns the approval pending registry: a ctx.approval ask
becomes an answerable approval/requested mux frame with a stable rpcId,
replayed verbatim on every mux open until settled; respond routes by the
echoed rpcId, validates the ApprovalResponsePayload audit correlation,
and broadcasts approval/resolved; the ask's abort signal withdraws the
question as cancelled.
session.permissions / session.setPermission project ctx.permission into
a protocol-owned PermissionOption select; idle switches are held
last-write-wins and
flushed into the next prompted turn (the ACP bridge's anchoring
pattern). The shared hasOpenTurn fold moved to dsh-session,
deduplicating the private copies in user-approval, the ACP bridge, and
the proxy.
Client, per the designer draft: a pending approval takes over the
composer (ApprovalPanel replaces the InputBar — amber strip,
justification headline, paired command, one-shot refuse/allow, keyed by
rpcId so a queued second approval remounts live; the resolved frame
restores the composer); the sidebar session row shows an amber
waiting-approval dot that outranks the running ring (manager-tracked
approvalId set, idempotent under mux-open replays, cleared per
connection generation, lit for uninstantiated sessions too); the
permission selector is a composer bottom-row chip over an invisible
native select, with a presentation-only title-case transform
(workspace-write renders as Workspace Write; wire names untouched). Question placeholders stay in the message flow. The
connection fixture mirrors the host behavior for keyless browser
acceptance.
Restack the ask-user domain layer onto the carrier-chain architecture
branch. Conflict policy: runtime and ui-conversation take the
carrier-chain side (master sessions shape, dual-kind PendingCard,
'internal' envelope shell tests); the 'cancelled' wire code and its
semantics tests stay in apiproxy + ui-question (domain layer); the
smoke fixture keeps the nine-bundle success pass with the resident
question round over the carrier-chain first-describe shape.
Four rounds of structural rework on the conversation surface, converging
on one registration model for the whole client:
- Review fixes: open() leaves the inject factory (SessionsService owns
the semantic); ConversationService mounts via ctx.plugin(); the
bespoke view registry retires into the 'conversation.view' list slot.
- Ring alignment: createChatView factory retired (components get
everything through checkable shares at the register call site); the
hand-rolled t/i18n threading is deleted wholesale — a future
framework-level i18n will supply t as a standard prop keyed by slot
name, so no interim manual channel.
- Toolview dissolution: ToolViewRegistry / ToolViewResolver /
ToolViewOutlet / ctx.toolviews retire. Tool rows are entries of the
'conversation.chat.toolview' keyed slot (scope: session) declared by
the chat entry; ToolRowOwnerProps is the unified owner payload;
GenericToolCard becomes the call-site fallback; registrants are plain
plugins (inject ['slots','conversation'] as the load-order seam);
session-dimension dispatch moves into components (useSessions reads
parentId); trajectory/waterfall gain same-shape slots the day they
render tool rows (RendersCheck rejects empty declarations). Slot
names mirror the composition path (<domain>.<entry>.<hole>).
- Staging follows current: cell()/binding() are pure resolution
(render-safe); the constructor subscribes to the list store and
followCurrent opens the event window when the current session
changes — staging IS the open signal, business verbs are the timing,
React render/commit is decoupled from window lifecycle. A masked
current (projection gap) keeps the stage untouched so deferred
teardown semantics survive reconnects.
Agent Note: .agents/notes/implemented/architecture/
2026-07-23-toolview-dissolution.md (bilingual pair) records the
decision, the four rejected alternatives, and the accepted semantic
changes; the web client architecture note and packages/client/AGENTS.md
carry the current-state narrative.
Verified: typecheck 0, duplication 0 clones (478 files), full coverage
run 6190 passed with zero threshold errors, knip 0, doc-sync 24/24,
client aggregate tsc 0, render-count checks (one commit per chunk, zero
row re-renders under streaming) green.
